Biography of Miriam Ross, Professional Violist

 

SOLO PERFORMANCES

1984-Present    Have performed viola solos for the following orchestras: Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Berne Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Barock Orchestra, Mozarteum Salzburg, and Musikverein Vienna. Also, performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall,
New York City.

1984           International Viola Competition, Budapest, Hungary. Special prize for the best interpretation of a modern piece.


TEACHING

2009-Present        Miriam Ross™ Academy. Virtual music academy providing support
and assistance to professional violists and violinists who want help   clarifying their goals, improving their technique, overcoming obstacles, focusing their practicing, and so on.

  2004-2008          Studio teaching, Vienna. Worked with violists and violinists studying 
at the University of Vienna who wanted additional help working on their techniques, preparing for auditions overcoming stage fright, or dealing with other issues related to their playing

and Professor Hatto Beyerle with the Alban Berg Quartet
